Taking a page from Orr's playbook,
Thornton gets the early jump,
and uses it to effectively subdue Boogaard's right.
A smart tactic, that allows him
to come away with a narrow edge
in a ''never really got going'' kind of fight.

Thornton gives a seminar on how to neutralize Boogaard.
Shows some upper body strength by tying up Boogie's arms... and stayed patient till he found an opening.
Impressive and Smart Win for Thornton.

Was a pretty even bout, Booger was tied up at the start but once he got his right hand free the refs didn't want to have any part of any face re-arranging that he was thinking of doing.
