Mike Rupp vs Zdeno Chara

There are only a few players that can stagger you with a jersey jab.
Chara owns an established fighter through a lethal combination of
reach, size and ''in-to-it-edness''.

Chara has just got too much wingspan for a guy like Rupp.

Chara is a beast, too bad he didn't fight more often, but then not many players not anything to do with him. I would love to see him put a beating on Boogaard.

Chara looks like Lurch from the Adams Family. He really cant punch very well and I dont think he landed much. If his arms weren't the size of a totem pole, he would be beat up nightly.. I wonder if he ties his own shoes??
Oh- and the Bruins looked like way over-matched on all ends of the ice..Why didnt anyone cause any problems when Godard was on the ice?!?!

The thing about Chara is he really can't lose a fight unless he fights completely the opposite of the way he always does. Nobody can touch him because he keeps one telephone pole arm in their face at all times, and then comes the right (or the left), which packs a lot of power. As it's been stated, even a jersey jab from him can put anyone at least off-balance. Rupp is no small man, and Chara handles him like he's nothing. He would've fought more this year, but he had some splints on his fingers, and if he'd have cut anyone with them he'd be ejected, and he is too valuable to the team for that.

Chara completely manhandles Rupp in this one.

Looked like an early season pitcher's duel...a lot os swings and misses! Chara wins by points......but barely!

Easier said than done, however I would recommend that Rupp try to fight Chara inside.....Rypien could provide some hints as to how to accomplish this.
