I just want to say to all the Neil haters. Neil isn't the only one in the league who still throwing on the way down. Most of them do it and all of them have done it at some point in their career. As for the showboating comment...They all showboat in their home building.

Surprise, surprise ... Chris Neil throws punches while the other guy is down.

No clear winner, draw!

Is Chris Neil the biggest piece of crap in the league? Let's look at his last three fights - he gets beat by Bolton and throws a late punch on the ground, after the Rypien fight he jeers to the crowd like a circus clown and then here, the late punches again. Can you really be authentic when your year of fighting includes Steve Begin, Luke Schenn, Steve Downie? Actually he did fight Godard though but that's right, a late cheap shot after the refs came in and he still lost the fight.

Chris - I know you read these posts. Clean up the act. You're half a step away from sideshow status.

The more I watch Neil fight, the more impressed I am. Think about it......Years in the league with same team and not afraid to take on the big guys....he's won his share, and lost just as many. He's a gutsy player who knows his role.
Neil wins decisively in a "sleeper"......Jamal is just not in the same class yet.....

You know, I used to like Neil a few seasons ago, but I now see what a piec of sh-t he is. Trust me, I like a good agitator as much as we all do, but he just plain is bad for the sport these days. Jamal wants to square off and get er' goin' but Neil just does the grab and hold on until Jamal is off balance and goes down, then Neil feels tough, and throws a few punches. Way to go tough guy-hope you feel better about yourself- way to kick a guy while he's down. Are you the same guy that steals candy from children!?! DRAW because Neil has no respect!

Neil makes me embarrassed to be Canadian. He's perfect in Ottawa, where rodents thrive. He's a total rat, punching a good guy like Mayers when he's down. Between pretty boy Alphie, Mike the saint Fisher and white trash Neil, Ottawa fans get what they deserve - a team of losers for their loser city.

Neil proves he is the MW champ of the NHL, he can pick apart any chump in the league. period

Back in the day players would fight until the refs ripped them apart. Didn't matter if on the ground or standing up. All this "code" bull**** started when these damn staged fight started happening between heavyweights. And what's with this bull**** about asking a player to go.

Niel didn't ask Mayers to fight here, he just did. This is the way all fights should be.

both fighters were tied up, Neil resorting to his old tricks and hitting his opponent while he's down, **** I hate that guy -- draw

Neil is a tough mother but is classless. Stone169 obviously only watches Sens home games because the scrappers with class don't have to show boat. Neil is the same as that piece of crap Carcillo

You kinda get the feeling that Mayers is one of those guys that nobody is going to follow the code with don't ya fellas?
Who knows what he said about Neil's Momma.
I've seen Neil hold up more than once this season when he could have let a guy have it. Let's leave the decision up to him shall we?
