It's call sticking up for a team mate u pucksucker. Who cares if he loses the fight. U can always tell the announcers who have never played the game on any level.

Will somebody please shut these announcers up---quit preachin and tell us what is going on---hit was good not great---Fight was just OK---Thorburn did his job did'nt jump anyone but got him to go---Erskine with the slight edge

Dumb fight that gave the Caps a penalty, Erksine lays a squeky clean open ice hit and the guy takes offense. Chris Gets himself an instigator.

The live feed wasn't great but an isolation of it shows a few great hits by erksine before it slowed down.

Thorburn instigates and loses-LOVE IT. A clean hit shouldnt mean an automatic fight. Unless its a hit on a superstar.....................

whats up with those fights after clean hits lately , i`ve grown somewhat tired of it. erskine lands a lefthanded bomb that really rattles thorburn who just hangs in there the rest of the way
win erskine in a good tilt

Please stop all your whining about starting a fight after a clean hit ... anytime there is a fight it exciting and good for the fans.

Erskine threw the only true punch that landed here. Both threw a few but that left from Erskine hurt me from just watching. I believe we're all getting sick of this 'fight after a great hit' sh-t, though. Honestly, learn to take a hit, man. Everyone was OK after the hit, no one got hurt, so why the fight. I love a good fight as much as we all do, trust me, I've been in enough of them; but now it's getting ridiculous. At least Thorburn showed he has a good chin. Weird finish, though. WIN ERSKINE

BigRob1 can always tell when the announcers have never played hockey at any level? I'd like to know how he knows this bc the commentator who called for the instigator penalty gets advertising time during the broadcats for the hockey camps he runs! Thorburn got the roughing call, but it was close. One guy was hell bent on fighting, the other guy wasn't. thinking about it until he got mugged Thats when you get an instigator call, no? Nice to see the guy who starts the fight over a clean hit get clocked. The Hockey Gods Chortled at this one.

That was a pretty good figh and a suprise since Washington does not fight much. Got to give the win to Erskine.

Win Erskine with the big left hook in the middle of the fight. Love the replay in slo mo of that bomb that connected on Thornburn's mush. It's about freakin' time someone knows how to work a camera during a scrap!!!
