How can anyone say Carcillo went after Gaborik? Look closely. Gaborik actually drops his gloves first. He was certainly a willing (if not stupid) participant.

Wow, that was dumb of Gaborik.

Are things going to get nasty now?

Carcillo is a punk for going after someone who doesn't fight. Cheap move. At least Avery kicked his butt!

Dave Maloney hit the nail on the head when he said Flyers fans would rather see a video of fights than seeing a video of the Flyers hoisting a cup. Winning a fight is comparable to winning a cup for these morons. Win for Dan "Dirty Sanchez" Carcillo. He really should wipe that s h i t stain off of his lip already.

Gaborik should have never dropped the gloves. Terrible awareness by a guy who should be smart enough to not drop the gloves knowing there wasnt anybody on the ice who was going to help him at the :14 second mark you can clearly see Gaborik drop the gloves and Carcillo has his still on. No remorse for a guy who just made a stupid mistake.

Oh and by the way. EASY WIN CARCILLO. Gotta love those New York Rangers announcers. they baby their players so bad.

As a Ranger fan this is a joke on so many levels. The first joke is that why on gods green earth would Gab's drop the gloves!? what was he thinking...if he was? The second is the joke that is the toughness of the NYR. Nobody did anything about this....Girardi standed there and watched this happen..what a puzzzzay. Gabs is the bread and butter of this team i dont care if he drops the gloves jump in and stop it. I can't get on carcillo to much because gabs did drop the gloves the only thing I am going after is that nobody else on this team has any guts. Why was Brashier not dressed!? Why did we get rid of Orr? As a Rangers fan this is Embarrassing.....nothing more to say

Schultzy may not have gone after any player named "Marion" because there were none at that time. Instead Schultz made a living out of picking on helpless clods like Dale Rolph, until the league started beefing up with heavies....then he retired.

Don't see what Carcillo did wrong except beat the piss out of someone who actually dropped the gloves first. And for those who said Avery kicked Carcillo's ass, put it this way, I give Avery props for sticking up for the Rangers best player, but please, he lands one jersey punch.

Please. Anyone with eyes can see that Gaborik dropped his gloves first. What the hell is Carcillo supposed to do? Stand there and get punched? I don't think so.

Homers being homers...pfffft.

Gaborik knew what he was getting himself into, hell he dropped his gloves first! At any rate, good for him showing some grit but these announcers need to reassess the situation.

Win Carcillo.

I don't care for Carcillo; but he had every right to drop his gloves and fight Marian. At least he let up and let go when Marian went down.

Carcillo is such a f***ing a$$hole. I guess the text time he will fight a little girl ... what a *****.
