Backes is quickly becoming despisable, in a Fraser (Hawks) kind of way...
if you know what I mean.

What's up with Backes going after talented players these days? W Nash.

amerks25,
The americans beat canada in OT after blowing a 2 goal lead in the last 3 mins of the game, hardly an ass kicking, you won, take the 2nd gold in your jr. history, Canada has won 5 straight up to this year, once you pull that off then you can talk. Goodluck getting to the Gold in the olympics with rotten ronny wilson behind the bench, Kessel and Kane, thats all you have good luck. they wont get psat the russians, or swedes let alone Team Canada. Backes, a fringe fighter with one year of goal scoring under is belt lost a fight to Nash a 40+ goal scorer who is now 3-0-1 fighting. Sit down and shut your yap, if you honestly think the US has a chance at a gold with a guy like Backes on the roster, you are american, stick to football knob licker.

Nash won with the right hand barrage at the start. Backes didn't get going. A lot of the rights missed or hit the back of Backes's helmet, but that was far from a defensive stance from Backes, Nash forced him to duck.

"Goes up high on David Backes"?
More like Backes goes up high on Nash then gets his ass kicked.
Nice try home panger.

nash with the clear and easy win over the back door bandit.

Backes is due for a serious butt kicking. I guess after a couple of recent fights he considers himself a brawler. Wrong. Win Nash

Nash may have thrown more punches, but with the linesmen and refs jumpin in between, Backes quit. If they went unimpeded, likely a much different story. Draw.

not very pretty, but nash kind of overpowers him

What's the deal? Big Captain can't take a clean hit? He gets the win here, but learn to respect the game. A clean hit is a good hit, it doesn't warrant retaliation or a fight. You just took yourself out for 5 minutes, how smart is that?

Backes is a punk....

Clean big hit by Backes. Backes offers to drop his visor, Nash declines (punk move).
A couple of punches thrown, nothing lands, and the refs jump in.
AFTER the refs are between them Nash lands a couple on Backes' helmet... how does Nash get a W?
Clear Draw.
