Armed with a ''body-visor'', and the game's worst hair...
Sopel ''bravely'' crosschecks Janssen, after the latter almost smokes him with a clean hit.
Eager must have seen the Rypien video, and decided that the ol'
''sorry, hand tape, can't fight, GM and all'' approach
might be a good way to avoid fighting and pick spots.
"Chicago forward Ben Eager was given a match penalty for fighting with tape on his hand. Word is he told Barret Jackman he didnít want to fight because he didnít want to receive match penalty due to the tape on his hand. When Jackman let him go he suckered the Blues D-man in the face which resulted in a few stitches. Eager continued to run his mouth chirping the Blues bench as he skated off the ice." - per Andy Strickland.
What a freakin p***y. That fits right in with his MO as well as the rest of Chicago's MO. They all love the cheap shots and sucker punches, but only their pre-pubescent captain has the nuts to actually stand up for himself. And Jackman STILL got the W. Pathetic.
I only read the 1st page so someone might have pointed it out earlier...but Eager had tape on his right hand, probably after the 1st fight, so he was trying to stay out of the fight and then only threw lefts. Tape on the hand is considered attempt to injure...someone got the same a couple days back, can't remember who.
What is wetstick watching? Jackman was bloodied and it looked like Eager didn't want to continue sticking him. He was asking the linesmen to step in before it was "lights out" for the St. Loser punching bag.
