Wow, Backes kicked Toews' butt there ..... nice to see the scorer's throw them every now and then. And a scorer not having to defend himself against a cheap shot artist; ala Kaleta.

One word: visors. Drop 'em or don't fight.

Domination by Backes, Toews needs to stick to playing the game

good for toews standing up. backes the clear winner. the game definitely has changed. 5-10 years ago backes would have left the game on a stretcher or at least answer to probert, regardless of whether toews started it or not.

Given the both fighters had visors, that argument can be dropped...finally.

Glad to see a franchise player like Toews fighting his own fight without stepping down or letting a teammate handle things. Although he stepped up, Backes beat him down.

Domination Win = Backes

Good donnybrook by two non-fighters

Toews is no Sidney Crosby.

Everything you would expect from a Toews fight, but give him some credit for at least dropping them.

Easy win for Backes

Clear win for Backes. Not exactly heavy hands, but a lot of action and he landed a bunch of shots.

pachanga1971 You don't know what the fu^k you're talking about. Toews is the absolute last person on the Hawks, let alone in the NHL who wants to fight or even thinks of starting fights on a regular basis. Given that this is his SECOND fight as a pro, and that both were faught in hard battled teams to show he and his mates wouldn't back down to physical intimidation, I seriously question your sanity, and I.Q. The Hawks are one of the top three teams in the NHL, and will be a factor for the next decade. They matched St. Poois' physical play, killed off a monster 7:00 PP, and then systematically dismantled a team full of assholes playing for themselves and not their felow teammates. Toews taunting people? You must be out of your fuc*king mind, bitch.
