How can you get an instigator if the other guy doesn't get a fighting penalty. If that's the case then Cam Jansenn (or Steve Ott or Scott Hartnell or Ben Eager) should get a penalty every time he steps onto the ice (and that's not a slam). Great hit. Give Barker the W because he'd be horrible if the lost or drew in a fight by himself.

Glade to finally see someone step up and do something about all of the abuse the Hawks been taking. We need a tough guy. Good job Barker.

haha..... i am pretty sick of listening to all the hawk fans complain about the st louis hits... you guys are seriously the biggest cry baby hockey fans i've ever encountered.... this is why the nhl is becomming more and MORE weak. It's because cities like chicago are nothing like they used to be, without the hits like this, the scraps, etc. hockey would not be hockey.... just because you guys have a team full of star players (that can't keep their heads up) doesnt mean you need to act like a baby.....

5'9" 182lbs lays perfectly clean smash on 6'1" 200lb player, then gets jumped and suckered by 6'3" 222lb. Yep that sounds like Chicago. Crybabies and Cowards, all the way.

I understand the 2 minute instigator, 5 for fighting, and 10 minute misconduct, but getting ejected for this is pure bull. And Weaver was up when Barker pummeled him, so the fact that he "jumped him while he was on the ice" is also pure bull. St. Louis sucks, and they won't be much more than a goon squad with Davis Payne as their coach.

best part of the clip was the announcer yelling bang when the hit happened...not a fight but one hell of a hit

hey Hawk fans and anyone else thinking Weaver's hit was dirty; Scott Hamilton would love to have you join Stars on Ice. Weaver most certainly stayed on the ice during the hit. Tip for Sharpie; keep your head up! And Hawks won the fights because none of them would step up to Janssen. King should be back next time these two teams play but chances are, no one will accept his invites either.

HE LEFT HIS FEET. That is a cheap shot plain and simple. If you idiots played hockey you would know that. He deserved to get his ass kicked for that. Blues got pummelled in this game. Score wise and fighting wise. I love it.
