Koci took out two guys in one play. It was the best thing that happened to the Avs all night.

Props for Erskine stepping it up against a heavyweight like Koci for a cheap hit on Green

My hat goes off to Erskine. Not only is he an outstanding defensive defensemen, he will always have your back regardless of who he has to drop the gloves with.
If Koci hadnt have gotten Erskines shirt over his head, this fight would have been a toe to toe slug fest until one of them couldnt stand anymore. My money would be on Erskine in an all out brawl any day

I dont know where you all see Koci winning this fight... its clearly a draw. neither guy lands anything that affects the other. Erskine didnt even see the hit, but fights him anyways

It's a shame the Caps don't have Brashear or any enforcer anymore. Koci is a crap fighter and is usually just a punching bag. When a guy destroys one of your star players like that (clean hit or not), you NEED to have someone step in and knock the crap out of him in a fight.

Cheap hit plenty of time to avoid .Nhl player is good enough skater to avoid that goon or not.Two good punches with shirt over head otherwise even.Slight win for Koci

Given his age and size, it should have been a one-sided battle. It really wasn't. Physical hits and checks are part of the game, but Koci doesn't know hockey. Hockey is a game that is changing. You have players that know how to play (skate, score) and players that give the game a bad name (Avery, Koci, etc.). I've been watching the game for decades, and prefer the new system. For those who prefer the style of Laraque, McGratten, etc, turn to MMA instead. Fighting should be incidental, not the major attraction. Koci should not even be playing. Suspend him for the cheap shots.

questionable hit, i dont know what green was thinking turning his back, just like the mike brown hit on hudler in the playoffs "Keep your head up", well if worse comes to worse koci will get suspended a few games oh well
Win for Koci
