This is the second time I've seen Allen employ the,
rarely successful, ''running away'' strategy, recently.
It obviously impresses Mcb in a ''hey, that's what I do'', kind of way.

i just don't know about this. i don't know if allen was really trying to knee him, don't really view him as a dirty player. i've been wrong once or twice before however. stewart was certainly doing his job and doing it right, you can't take a run clean or not at a guy as good and young as duchene. kind of embarassing to see, and really i would hardly call it a fight, allen never had a chance to get square. stewart wins the pummeling.

Allen is a dirty player, I wasn't surprised to see him come across with his knee out like that, Nice move on Duchene's part to miss it cause that one could have caused some real damage. Funny a gutless prick like Allen would turn to run away to square off rather than just try to gain the upperhand, I never really thought much of Stewart before this but now I like him for both going after Allen and giving another reason to trash the Instigator rule. Win Stewart

Chris Stewart is a gutless *****. If he wants to fight, square off and fight. This jumping the guy and punching the back of his head is bush league. Go to the echl if that's your game. Pathetic

Allen was pathetic, embarrassing.

Is it me or does Allen seem to use that "turn his back and run like hell" move often? Can't blame Stewart for grabbing Allen from behind. The guy just tried to cheap shot his 18 year old star. Maybe Keith Ballard should break his stick near Allen sometime.

My hat is off to Stewart. If more people in the league would police hits that even appear to be a knee on knee attempt as he did there wouldn't be any more. I don't really call this a fight, more of a "you better check your checking style" statement.

I know that the only two guys that Stewart has fought this year are both punching bags and two of the worst fighter in the league, or any league for that matter(Prust and now Allen) but he still gets the win here.

Giving this a draw for Stewart flat out jumping Allen without even giving him a chance.
Great job by the announcers on calling this fight.

Clear win Stewart! Allen only a fugitive.... what a f***ing a$$hole! Trying a knee to knee hit on Duchene and then run like a rabbit. F***ing coward!

Good job Stewie! If the NHL canīt protect the players from this kind of a$$holes like Allen then a teammate has to take the law in his hand.

@mcb789: Visit a doctor, soon!

Did Allen even want to fight?
Posted by rustyrazor on Dec 3, 2009 at 2:35 PM agree disagree
Not much of a fight but I like the quick reaction to payback Allen for a questionable hit. Discipline works best if it's done immediately after you go out of line.

Something is very, very wrong. Stupid goons are attacking everyone who hits with a good body check. I just thought checks were a part of the game, obviously I was wrong.
This is killing the once so great game.
