horrible fight. after the first few punches downie landed, he kind of looked like he was trying to pet ruutu. draw because both suck, but edge to ruutu for the fight

Downie grabbing Ruutu's pants is BS. You would have never seen Dave Schulz or Tiger Williams grab an opponents pants.

Downie started out pretty good (jumping the gun a little, but I don't think Ruutu was all that surprised). After doing everything he could to stay on his skates, Downie wanted to be seperated just when Ruutu was coming back strong later in the fight. Neither one was able to finish the job here, so I'd call it a draw.

As soon as Ruutu got free and started to throw them Downie graba Rutuu's pants to try and upend him, then he turns tail and tries to skate away, and finally looks for the linesman to step in and prevent a beating. If he wants to jump someone, he shouldn't turtle when he loses the upper hand. Hate to give any fight to Ruutu, but gotta give him this one. Downie is a coward.

Good fight. The smaller Downie landed more punches IMO. Winner Downie
