Jarkko Ruutu vs Steve Downie

The very narrow edge goes to Downie, though it was dumb of him to start the fight and get an extra two minutes while his team was trying to ice the game. I tuned in at the end--Ottawa had their heavyweights Neil and Carkner out on the ice for the power play (?) in the final 30 seconds trying to stir something up. Too bad TB doesn't have that big Russian Artyukhin any more.

Ruutu is the biggest piece of garbage that has ever put on skates, Downie is a real close second. who cares about this crap fight. Too bad they didnt both fall and smack their heads on the ice ending both their useless careers.

downie gave up a lot of reach and still won against the cheap shot ruttu.

Gotta give it to Ruutu. It is not a fight if you jumping guy from behind and then play duck and turtle when going face to face.

Downie Syndrome jumped Ruutu, got off several punches and NEVER remotely hurt Ruutu. Why is he in the NHL ??

Ruutu gets the nod, basically because I am disgusted at Downie for starting the fight when the other guy's back was turned, then trying a weak-ass pant grab takedown, then looking for the linesmen to jump in when the surprise attack didn't work. What a puss, he must have been a Flyer once.
