David Koci vs Derek Boogaard

Boogaard controlled the fight all the way and gets the win.

Boogaard with the win but, geesh people, I thought by the way some are talking that Koci got destroyed but this was far from a destruction. Boogie rag dolls Koci, gets in a few punches and when Koci is trying to regain his balance, people think he is trying to skate away. Come on, now.

i am Koci's fan but I have to admit that he had no chance against giant Boogeyman. At least he tried. clear win for Boogaard. Is he really only 6"7' ??

Boogey rag dolls Koci and lands a couple good shots to get the win. Hey tomales, bitch and complain about not being a good player but when he steps on the ice he strikes fear into everybody on the opposing team. His value is measured in protection and opening up space for the skilled players. If you want everybody to skate and score, sit in front of your tv watching reruns of any all-star game from the last 10 years.

Did you hear the idiot announcer quoting boogeyman as saying that he doesn't worry about defense in his fights. When you're 4 inches taller than your opponents, D is not a big concern, all you need are fast hands.

Booger is awesome. Looks like he was looking forward to this.

The two worst players in the NHL decide to square off. Wow, there's only supposed to be an inch or two size difference between these two guys? It looks like a lot more than that. I know that Colorado should have a guy and needs a guy like Koci around because they have so many young players but he's going to have to do more than get his ass handed to him like this to stay in the lineup. It looks like the big bad Boogeyman is back.

How does this rate a 6? Wow, all Boogaard. Koci has been a dissapointment but my Avs haven't! Boogaard is a wasted roster spot if ever there was one.

Koci looked like a tool, towing Boogaard around the ice by his jersey.

Actually, people, if you look at their fight from 07, Koci held up very well against the behemoth Boogeyman and questionably might even have run away with a win. No doubt that Boogey won this fight but I wouldnt put it out as total domination, Koci was willing to go, just had issues with establishing his balance which the green mutant took advantage of.

Looked like a shutout for Boogaard, not a single Koci punch landed.

I'm sure players really missed his right hand...
