DB wins 10-9 with the end flurry.

On a side note, I swear huggy bear has conceived more kids on the ice than any 12 fighters combined. I was waiting for the bow-chikka-bow-wow music to start. He has a great punch, he needs to use it.

You don't see the jerseys come off that much these days, nice bit of nostalgia. Win Brash.

Sugden early, and nearly had my vote, but Brashear dominated the final ten seconds. Edge to Brashear.

Early in the 3rd period Sugden who is eager to impress his bosses at Washington skates up to Brashear and challenges him.. Sugden then drops his gloves and at first Brashear follows the puck and the play, but he then realises that Sugden has dropped the gloves and Brashear quickly follows suit.

Again they skate about for a second or two sizing each other up before Brashear shoots in and this time gets a good grip on Sugden. Sugden then throws a short right hand to start the fight, before throwing another two rights at Brashear a few seconds later. These early punches are only glancing blows but all three look to of landed.

Brashear then threw a right hand back at Sugden but it fell short and Sugden landed a solid looking counter right and just missed with a second right hand. Brashear then quickly came in tight and tied Sugden up in a clinch.

After a bit of grappling both guys landed a few short punches each from the clinch and then after some more grappling Brashear was able to come out of his jersey giving him an advantage. The lino's think about coming in and stopping the fight but Brashear started to throw and land some left hands so they let them continue to fight.

Brashear landed three lefts on Sugden and Sugden quickly backed away from Brashear before he was then able to tie the new Rangers enforcer up in a clinch. Sugden looked tired at this stage and Brashear was clearly starting to get the upper hand.

Brashear then threw and landed a couple of swinging left hands to the back of Sugden's head and then threw and landed a few short left hooks to the side of Sugden's face as well. Brashear was clearly in control now and threw a few more left hooks before switching and attempting a couple of right uppercuts as he controlled Sugden against the boards.

Brashear then was able to free his right hand fully from his jersey and Brashear threw another two punches at Sugden landing the first and missing the second. Sugden then attempted to land right hand but this fell short and Brashear switched his grip on Sugden and threw some big left upper cuts and a couple of over hand lefts at the Caps tough guy. Sugden then made sure he grabbed a hold of Brashear tightly so Brashear could not throw any more punches at him and the lino's came in to end the fight.

This fight turned into a marathon bout with Sugden getting the upper hand early on with some nice straight right hands. But as soon as Brashear got inside and tied Sugden up he came back into the fight. The turning point was when Brashear got out of his jersey and Sugden took quite a few heavy punches near the end of the fight and was looking to be in trouble at the end before the lino's stopped it. This is a clear win to Brashear in my opinion for dominating the second half of this fight and having Sugden in trouble at the end..

Clear win Brashear.

Brashear with the win, would that count as a rope-a-dope?

BearHug brashear strikes again. Hold on, shake your opponent, after they lose their balance give him a few shots. This scumbag has made a career out of doing that. It seems though he wasn't able to do it as well as he has in the past. I'm not sure if he hasn't recovered from getting KO'd late last year or if he is just getting older.
I predict this scumbag will be getting his ass kicked a lot this year from some of the big names like Godard, Orr, Boogaard, Belak. etc.

Two fights between these two = two crap-fests. Brashear with the narrow win though.

When will Brashear retire ... or just leave the game?

Give Brash the edge with more thrown and landed.
