1978--I believe that was the year the Flyers and Bruins had a really vicious playoff series that Stan Jonathan throttled Moose Dupont and gave him a black eye for a month.

Hoyda was a tough little guy and in this bout he held his own against Wensick. The same year I saw Hoyda level John Gould of the Atlanta Flames by putting a huge gash in his forehead with an overhand right.

Too soon by the linesmen. Possible edge by Wensink but i'd say a draw.

My man Wensink wins this one. Not by a lot but he delivered every time out. Classic goon, enforcer and he scored more than people give him credit for.
