Pound for pound, Bob Nystrom was the best fighter EVER ( no disrespect to John Ferguson). A light heavyweight who dominated evryone. Top 5 of all time without a doubt.

How is Bobby Nystrom one of the top 5 overrated players ever? I'm guessing that since you mentioned you watched Mcphee beat down Nystrom you're Ranger fan? Well Bobby has more career Points Per Game than Adam Graves.. So I guess Adam graves would be #4 on that list? Every fighter loses once in a while. And I can remember 5'10" Tie Domi putting a beating on a lot of guys bigger than him. Again no disrespect to Graves, he was a very good player, but Bobby Nystrom is nowhere near overrated.

Too bad Nystrom's son isn't such an active thrower. those were the days when fighters actually fought! Love the throwing from his knees! He clearly stunned the guy. Don't know about top 5 overall, but top 5 in the entertaining/willing category. so what if he lost to McPhee once? He also helped dismantle the Flyer Bully "dynasty" while winning lots of Cups. I'd have him on my team!

Nystrom wins this one. Nystrom is easily among the top 5 most overrated players in the history of the NHL. Limited offensive skills, ok fighting skills, and no class. I watched him get his ass beat by 5'9" 175 lb George McPhee one night, and all Nystrom could do was try to headbutt Mcphee in the face once the linesman had McPhee in a headlock.
