Oh man, I love this site and I love playoff hockey!

I don't know if anyone is ever ready for an elbow of that magnitude. I was surprised to see these two go at each other, but it was the top players for both teams on the ice at the end of this game. I think for that reason we didn't see 3rd man in and other misconducts. Niedermayer with the win, if you want to call it that.

WIN Lidström and Hossa.

Duckstars got more toughness than Wingstars, ha?!?

"Funny how the ducks always goon it up when the wings have their top players on the ice, bunch of cheap MOFO's, u know if Big Ericsson would have been out there, he would have destroyed Katy perry once again. But typical ducks fighting the superstars and not the grinders."

Dude, the Ducks had a bunch of their skilled best players on the ice too. It's not their fault the Wings are a bunch of euro *******.

Great ending to the game!

This is what playoff hockey is all about, Niedermayer showing some grit and Datsyuk taking the brunt of it. You have to love when the top lines get into a line brawl in at the end of the game. Niedermayer is sick!!!

that was beautiful.

Cheap elbow to the face and a few shot to the shoulder by Niedermayer. Datsyuk did nothing, but aside from the elbow it was crap.

Is there any doubt that the Duck Players, Getslaugh, Cory Fairy, and Scott Needtoretire initiated the dirty play? Even the "none-bias" call guys were discussing that point.

Its one thing to be a fan, but to twist the facts into such a ignorant story...well, there is obviously a passion in Southern Cal for hockey, but not the intelligence yet. Or perhaps Denial isn't just a river in Egypt...

Wings victory comes tomorrow night. Thanks for playing, goodnight!

Why are there so many Wings fans on a hockey fight website? Isn't there a ballet or diving forum to go to?

It played out as a tale of two captains.

You gotta admit, it takes some guts from Pavel to throw down with Neidermeyer who far outweighs and out sizes him. I do think however, that Pavel should think about what happened to fellow team mate Kopecky just recently when he broke some facial bones during a fight which likely ends his playoffs. Datsuyk doesnt need to fight to show his toughness...He is supposed to make plays and protect his health during those circumstances.

Old men rule...and that's coming from an old man. Way to go Scotty!!!

Scott Niedermayer is usually a clean player. but no matter how clean of a player you are. As soon as you play for the Dirty Ducks. you become as dirty as they are.
