Just when I thought Perry was the Ducks' Lady Byng nominee, Niedermayer drops it all to a sad new level, by
A) throwing a sucker elbow,
B), fighting Datsyuk like a spot-picking moron,
and
C) stopping mid fight to adjust his visor.

I don't know if anyone is ever ready for an elbow of that magnitude. I was surprised to see these two go at each other, but it was the top players for both teams on the ice at the end of this game. I think for that reason we didn't see 3rd man in and other misconducts. Niedermayer with the win, if you want to call it that.

Well, Scott should be embarassed, first because he EVER won a Norris Trophy, second, because he STOLE the Conn Smythe from Giguerre when they won the cup, and third, because he went after the smallest, least-likely-to-fight-back player on the ice. He is a weeny wimp who has been over-rated for too long. He made his chicken-ass brother look good on this stupid escapade, and why he wasn't suspended?.... Colin Campbell is so completely brain-dead (see Scott Walker incident).

I see Neidermayer took the time to adjust his VISOR after unloading a few more on Datsyuk. Yes, he didn't have time to take the lid off but once you have the guy in a prone position like having hold of the back of his jersey and holding him down and your wearing a visor, you don't keep throwing punches. You hold up. ....just waiting for all the nay sayers ..."it's the heat of the battle" For that, I give it a draw in a crap fight. Otherwise I would have given it to Neidermayer. And Perry...What a punk. At least Getzlaf didn't drop em with Hossa, who he would have distroyed. You could tell he wanted to ...but held off because he knew it.

wow.. never thought I'd see Neids fight.. in a playoff game.. and kick some ass... that elbow was pretty nice, too... although I doubt he meant to hit him in the head or even knew Datsyuk was there, really.
