Yea ta the time it was a bad idea but in retrospect it worked out cause Beuch will be back for Game 5 while Kopecky was messed up so bad he will be out for Game 5. Beauch owned him. Not contest.

Unfortunately, even as a Wings fan I have to say this fight was total domination. Now I REALLY want to see someone take down this French Canadian ba$tar%--bad. Still, it was good Kopecky stood up and took a shot. The Wings aren't afraid to stand up to the Ducks even thought they are bigger and stronger. The final score is the only win that really counts.

I was at the game...Kopecky wasnt thinking about getting Beauchemin off the ice... They were battling in front of the net and it got heated... Both agreed dropping the gloves was the only rational thing to do... And Kopecky is now regretting that choice... Just goes to show to don''''t mess with a man name Francois...

this represents the difference between the the pink wings and the ducks . . . the pink wings throw a cheap elbow at an injured player to retaliate for a previous hard hit . . . in contrast, the ducks have the decency to square up with there opponent to avenge . . . look for at least two more pink wing pummelings in front of their home fans sunday night . . .

I think the only reason Kopecky would get himself pounded silly would be to get one of Anaheim's few healthy D-men off the ice. Mission accomplished?

Just read on espn.com that Kopecky will need surgery for "facial injuries" suffered in this fight. A broken orbital?- Must have been that last or third to last punch. Slovakians are usually just about the toughest Europeans but they are mostly no match for North Americans. I think it's the soccer they play that fails to develop good upper-body strength. Somebody needs to tell that kid to keep his hands up. He was standing up to the bully and gets some props for heart. Beau, though.

This is a good series to see between the fightingest team and the Euroest team. What I don't get is why the Wings don't remember how well they did with Kocur along with a mostly skilled team when they were winning cups before. Find another guy like Joey who can play some, and the Ducks won't be a problem. But don't have your Euros trying to fight Canadians. Acutally, I get totally bored watching The Eurowings and will root for Boston against them in the finals.

Beauchemin with the east win. Hopefully he didn't break his hand while breaking Kopeckys face.

His face got ****ed up

From the associated press:

initial indications on Kopecky's condition were "not good" and "it appears he'll need surgery" but the team is waiting for a final report.

If Kopecky had been a hockeyfights.com viewer, he would have known that Beauchemin is a leftie. Instead, Kopecker eats knuckle sandwiches that results in broken orbital bones. This one wasn't even close. Props to him for even going, but he's a terrible fighter.
