Great fight nice job losing the visor. Big right on the button fazed Whitney twice.

Extremely chippy play all game long, culminating in a Pavelski/Whitney fight. Win to Pavelski here though. Unfortunately, 2 wins by Sharks in fights don't lead to a win to force game 7 in the series. Sad day as a bay area sports fan.......but great fights anyway.

When you hit a guy with everything you have three times and can not drop him, this means you did not win. Also consider the face shield defense, then the fight is a draw at best.

Strong believer in dropping the lid in a square-off, in fact I think taking it off should be mandatory in a square off, shield or no shield. That said, this was not a square off. Taking it off in the middle cause Pavelski to eat the biggest punch Whitney landed. When the other guy throws first without you having a chance to get it off the rules are different in my eyes. In any case, I do not thick Whitney got what he expected there. Don't think anyone had a clue Pavelski had that in him, certainly no Whitney. He was that busted open as Remenda claimed, but probably a broken nose though.

Whitney did keep throwing, which is tough when every solid punch he ate was right on that nose.

Pavelski had no chance to take the visor off before he did. Whitney was more than willing to go even though he knew Pavelski had the visor. Win Pavelski.

Pavelski's first fight. Whitney started swinging at Pavelski and Pavelski kept dodging punches and kept landing all of his in the center of Whitney's face. Pavelski is the clear winner. This video doesn't show the two trails of blood that were coming from Whitney's nose at the end of the fight! Go little Joe!

Pavelski kicked his rearend. Looked like they wern't gonna go but then Whitney being a member of the cheapshot artists of anaheim had to throw at a guy that is easily 8 inches shorter and 40lbs lighter than him. Pavelski all the way.

pavelski did land some pretty square shots on whittney that looked like if it were not for pavelski holding the sweater he would have crumbled. In saying that how much could whittney do with pavelski's shield on. I hope it was pavelski that undid the helmet to make it an even fight but it was hard to see. Then the refs stepped in i'm guessing b.c of the blood, but could've become a fight worth an 8, but as it stands only a 6

GREAT work by Joe Pavelski. Nobody expected for it to go this way. Whitney threw the first punch, Pavelski threw the last. Whitney was bloodied. WIN Pavelski.

You Duck fans want to cry about the Sharks head hunting? How about the 6 times a shift? What a joke.
Whitney goes to the smallest guy on the ice Little Joe and starts socking him. Next thing you know hes getting socked up with his nose busted. Nice! Visor?? He's 5"11 and beat down a 6"4 guy? What more do you want.
Pavelski with the Win! And Thornton!

Whitney and Pavelski are both non fighting types, and it looked as if they decided to throw after locking up as both are chattering to each other. It is not like one or the other instigated this. Thus, Pavelski had chances to shed the visor before his decision to fight... And besides that...I have been in this situation before and IF you have a free hand to throw, THEN you have a free hand to shed a visor/helmet, no doubt about it. I give it a draw for the fact that Pavelski wanted to throw with a visor on.

I have to give this to Pavelski. Whitney hit him first and probably got more then he barganed for. Plus Whintey didn't take his helmet off, it was removed for him by well placed punch. Give another to Joe for the bloody nose and Sharks win the fights too bad they couldn't win the game. I hope the maybe crack some heads a little sooner next year.
