2003-2004 Regular Season

Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Feb 28, 2004 Buffalo Sabres Andrew Peters
3pd 18:41 Ottawa Senators Rob Ray
Ray exits the box after a minor penalty and goes right for Peters and they drop the gloves. No square off, Ray starts out throwing three to four rights to the helmet and side of the head. Peters throws back, and they exchange some rights back and forth, mostly to the helmet. Ray landed a hard right to the back of the helmet that put Peters off-balance. More exchanging, they get in-close. Ray smiles and winks to the linesmen. Shortly after, they jump in and it's over.

after rob ray left the sabres he left andrew peters with big shoes to fill
i think this was almost like the final test. and the passing of the tourch.
i dont think it was bad blood or anything.
i just think they were to old team mates who played together and ray probably gave peters some pointers.
they both fought good. ray was winning a littel but peters started using his size.
it was a good, fun, and even fight.
