Sidney Crosby vs Keith Ballard

i love crosby but the fight is tilted ballard winner slightly

Can some of you mopes make up your mind? Sid gets criticized and called 'Cindy" by some for not matching your standards of toughness despite getting hammered nightly by lesser players trying to take him off the ice.

Then when he does show up to stick up for a teammate that gets lowballed at the knees he gets run over by some of you same mopes that figure he should become Bob Probert when his gloves hit the ice. He accomplished a scoring title, a Hart Trophy, and Lester B. Pearson award, plus a Stanley Cup finals appearence in the worlds toughest league before most of you guys learned how to jack off.

Of course I expect Flyers fans to piss and moan....they can't stop Sid from torching them every time the teams play.

Like it or not....Sid can play. He competes. He battles. He works, and he is likely better than any player you have on your team.

And he shows up every night. Like it or not.

Cleaning Crosby's clock ? Easy now. That being said, edge to Ballard.

Way to go Ballard! First, your beautiful hip check puts Malkin upside down. Then you get to beat on Crosby a little. What player wouldn't like to do that! Crosby takes himself off the ice for 7 minutes and Malkin is thinking about keeping his head up. You have done well Keith Ballard. Keep hitting guys like that. Nowadays, they don't like it and will try to fight you everytime...cause they can't take a clean, hard hit anymore in this stupid league. The NHL was alot more fun to watch in the 70's and 80's.

Crosby realized he was in over his head and decided to bail. I wish more guys would do that to him. Teach him that this here's a man thing.

Some of these guys must have just started watching hockey. A good clean hit on a superstar has ALWAYS ended in a fight. That message has been sent forever, it just isn't usually another superstar who sends the message. Good for Sid for dropping the mitts. You might not like the guy, but he plays with more intensity than almost any other player in the league.

Oh yeah, the fight. Crap fight. Nothing really landed. That wasn't the point.

Good for Crosby, stuck up for his teammate like a captain should and fought a legitimately tough guy in Ballard

This was definitely closer than the scoring indicates, and I don't think Ballard did much damage either. I read the comments first and thought Ballard dominated from what I read. I'm going with a draw from what I saw.

Crosby CAN NOT fight....what a *****....he drops the gloves and then when he starts losing he pulls the guy down to save himself the embarrassment...some captain.

Hit of the year by Ballard. Win by Ballard. Props and respect for Ballard for trying to take off the Visor.

I think I figured out what Cindy was trying to do with the takedown he wanted to get on Ballards back in such a way that he could in his typical cowardly fassion punch Ballard in the groin. That's how girls fight and she's done it before. It would have been great if Ballard could have really gotten going and given that biyatch Crosby the beat down that she deserves.

malkin jumped out of the way? he kicked the puck with his foot and got caught with a low hit. the announcers blow

Ballard with the win as he was the only one who threw punches. Looked like a clean check to me, Malkin trying to leap over the hip caused it to look worse.
