Claire Alexande, do you even watch the games or the highlights or do you just guess at what you think could have happened? The reason that the Nucks didn't go after that lard ass Buttlovin is because they originally didn't see what he did and then the refs took him off of the ice before the skirmish broke out. Did you want them to ask him to unlock the door to the penalty box so that they could fight him?
Franchise, what the **** are you talking about? Destroyed, oh sorry DESTROYED? Wake up dude. Nobody got destroyed, it was good old time hockey. Since it's obvious that you don't know the difference between a KO and a KD. Maybe before you post next time, you could do some research on that and then you might have some credibility. There was no KO dumbass.

No contest here, Eager owned him.

I give Eager the edge and have no respect fo Bieksa. He clearly broke the code and should be required to ante up for it. He lost and he has no code for throwing punches after the other guy was in a really bad place becuase of the linesman. That is just bush.

And when did we start pulling hair and trying to mash a guys face into the ice. Another bush move. Very dissappointing...

Bieksa put up a good fight despite having a weight disadvantage as Eager pussied out earlier when O'Brien challenged him. Eager with the win because of the lucky left =).

Eager got Bieksa good but when Bieksa was in a bad position Eager couldn't finish him off so Bieksa starts getting Eager while he's down.

Canuck hockey, hair pulling and punches when the other guy is on the ice. Way to go ladies ! You got the "W" but we kicked your ass. Ben Eagers body slam said it all. Bieksa you are load your mom should have swallowed

Some of you clowns need to get your vision checked.
Kevin had his own jersey clouding his vision as a glancing blow set him off balance. Then the ogre Eager decides to turn it into an MMA match with a double leg takedown...what a scrub.

Draw in a match where one opponent outweighs the other by 30 lbs.

I wish O'Brien would have got hurt when the ref slewfooted him. Talk about a dangerous play when officials act like bad asses on the ice that's when accidents occur. Remember when Tucker got thrown into the box by a linesman and Sandy McCarthy almost fought him.

Update: I should also add that I TiVo'd the game, came home, and frame by frame viewed this fight in HD. There was plenty of video coverage and you are seeing most of it, except you cant slo mo the action. I can see where some people think the left by Eager was a punch to the chest. The reality is that Bieksa was bleeding from the mouth and in slo mo, you CLEARLY see the punch hit him in the mouth. What you are not seeing is how bloodly Bieksa's face was BEFORE he went to the penalty box. IN fact, the United Center cameras picked up the blood on the ice, driving the home fans crazy.

In slo mo you also clearly see that Eager slammed his head off the ice and you clearly see Bieksa never connected with a punch.

As for Bieksa's "Good Job" comment, you will have to ask him. He was 10 feet in front of me; I know what I saw. The other thing some of you don't realize is that for most of these guys, this is another day at the office. He may have been trying to be sarcastic, but there is no doubt what he said.

It's amazing how different things look live compared to poor video quality. I am the guy in the front row with a red Hawks jersey and white hat, this fight was right in front of me and this is what happened:

1. Eager landed a short but very effective left hand that buckled Bieksa
2. Bieksa threw punches but litterally landed nothing
3. The welt on Eagers head he gave to himself. When he lifted Bieksa and threw him to the ice, he hit his own head on the ice. Watch it again.
4. Bieksa was bleeding pretty good from the mouth as the result of the Eager left hand. Bleeding doesn't give you the win, but there is a reason Bieksa went down after taking that punch.
5. Read Bieksas lips on the way to the penalty box. He tells Eager "Good Job".

Bottom line, Eager with the win

Eager was stronger and more aggressive - caught Bieksa with a good shot. Bieska was throwing like a p***y. Don't care for Eager and he beat a bum.

I don't think this was as one sided as some would say. I give the W to Bieksa because about all Eager landed was that one punch (which Bieksa recovered from right away), and then he went for the ass grab and still ended up underneath a ton of Bieksa shots.

It's kind of hard to see on youtube, but it was really obvious on tv. After the fight Eager had that huge red welt on his head. Bieksa didn't even have a scratch on him, Eager just tried to tear his clothes off.
