Ott got what he asked for. Probably didn't really want it though. Clear win for Moen.

I hate the Ducks but absolutely loved watching this. Ott was being a punk. I'm sure Ott's not gonna use his broken hand as an an excuse and nobody else should you it as an excuse for him. If you have a broken hand don't cross check the other team's captain at the end of the game. I think he though he could just get some cheap shots in at the end and nobody would care. He deserved what he got whether or not his hand is broken.

Ott has been suspended for Eye-gauging

NEW YORK (March 1, 2009) – Dallas Stars forward Steve Ott has been suspended without pay, pending a hearing, for receiving a match penalty for intent to injure at the end of NHL game #925 Saturday afternoon.

Ott was assessed a match penalty under NHL rule 21.1 (attempt to injure) for his actions during an altercation with Anaheim forward Travis Moen following the third period’s final buzzer.

This was quite an odd fight. Rarely does a game end with a full on bout. I don't think all of you should be killing Steve Ott. He has a job in the NHL. His job is to agitate. He gets payed to agitate. There is nothing that will prevent him from agitating. I guarentee to you that a majority of teams would like to have a good agitator like Steve Ott. Someone to fire up the team, someone to get involved. He gets payed to agitate and he does it well. There is no reason to get angry for there is nothing you can do about it.

If you're going to screw with folks near the end of a game plan on taking your lumps, injured or not. Little wuss had to then go for an eye gouge. Well, that says something about the guy doesn't it?

Ott is from Canada (Stoney Point, Ontario), not Sweden. I don't see what difference that makes.

To all the people dissing Ott, I gotta say you don't know much about hockey.
He is a very good agitator, draws a lot of penalties (see last year's playoffs for a good example).
He's got the A because he is a leader for the Stars, though why anyone would want to lead those ******* is beyond me.

On saying that, he probably shouldn't have mixed it up knowing he couldn't defend himself, and Moen was absolutely right to do what he did.

I also think the refs chickened out by not throwing some penalties around. Giguere and neidermeyer should have got roughing and Moen should've got an instigator and maybe a game misconduct, considering it was after the buzzer. I just want to see some consistency.

Words cannot express how much i hate Ott... I scored this a 10 simply because Moen destroyed him. F him.

Clear win by Moen and justice was served! Ott is a cheapshot and always has been.

Ott basically gets assaulted. Kinda gutless punching a man who can't punch back.
