An injury in a fight is an injury in a fight...win asham mara couldnt continue. You don't call a draw when one guy bails.

Seemed like Asham held up the whole time, on one of the better huggers in the league. Probably knew he was hurting too. Don't ever like to see a guy get (re)injured, though.

Flyers fan here, Asham I think would have whooped Mara if the fight went ahead and Mara wasn't injured, Asham is one hell of a great fighter. But the fact of the matter is that neither landed anything really significant, Mara injured his hand, the linesmen jumped in, and it was an obvious draw in a fight I'd call a 4.

Pretty much a draw. Good respect of the code by Asham. Not much of a scrap. About 10 fewer punches thrown than two dollar BJ's given out by mcb789's mother down at the bus station last night.

Asham with the win! Two short of a fight though!

i like how the refs stoped this as soon as it baceame a hugfest. needs to happen more, and maybe some takedowns would be avoided. draw.

Mara was doing OK, but Asham came back, so it's a draw.

Draw. too bad about Mara's hand/shoulder. "Kudos" to Asham for backing off when he knew Mara was injured. Old school.

How does Asham land on so many teams. I've always liked this guy, he is old school and could have played in era of the game including the bloodbath 50's. From the school of : Howe, Shore , Ferguson etc. If I was the Flyers GM I'd give him a lifetime contract. Montreal should have never let this guy go, he is what they lack, tougher than a night in jail.

FIght never really got started. Mara has a bad rt hand. Ref stepped in before any dammage was done.

Not much of a fight. Mara hurt his shoulder kinda bad after the first 2 punches and backed off.

Mara is day to day with a shoulder injury.

Good adhering to the code by Asham.

Mara acknowledged this after the game and spoke to Asham afterwards

Apparently it was Mara's shoulder as he said:
"The first two punches I was swinging and I could feel something in there and I stopped," Mara said. "Give Arron a lot of credit. The respectful player that he is, he stopped. It was a very good character thing on his part."

Mara is lucky he hurt his hand on a right hook to Asham's hip or he would have got a beating as Asham had him measured up and was coming on. Good call by Mara to bring in the linesman.

not much of a fight I favor asham due to size diff.
