Edge to Shanny.... Boulton asked for it and didn't deliver

Not a great fight, but nice to see Shanahan back! Edge to the fighting Irishman!

if boulton decides to "toss em" with shanny he gets wasted. period. shanny is one of the last true power fowards just to bad he had to get old...oh well good to see him back anyways...draw.

Can't think of a reason Boulton would want to go with Shanahan, could be something from last season when Shanny was with the Rangers.

Edge Shanahan. Old man just about took young man apart. Nice hugging Boulton

Draw. Boulton's supposed to be such a tough guy, what's he picking on an old fart like Shanahan for?

Boulton should have gone with Rupp, a Tampax moment for Eric. Shanny has always amazed me from early fighting days to his return to Jersey. No longer a spring chicken, Shanny's still tough.

An absolute draw. Two lite punches to the back of someones helemut does not constitute a W.

Not great, but shanny wins. Just great to see him out there again, I missed him. Not many guys who can fight have over 1300 career points. Welcome back.

Shanahan is still the man at 40. The rangers are idiots for not signing him back. Guy has more heart then anyone in the league, and will not back down from anyone.

I don't think Boulton wanted Shanahan in this fight. Look behind Shanny and Rupp is staring Boulton down and encouraging him to drop em.

Looks like Shanahan gets in one or two right to the mind so i gave him the win. He also controlled most of the fight. I really like the fact that Shanahan hasn't lost any of his spark. He's not a big fighter, but if you cross check him on the back or hack him he gets pissed and stands up for himself.

Good to see Shanny willing to go. Boulton drops the gloves first for the clear challenge. No win situation for Boulton. If he wins, he just beat up one of the oldest guys in the league. If he loses, he just got his butt kicked by one of the oldest guys in the league. Either way, not good.

Gotta give Shanny props for mixing it up. He said after the game he saw Rupp shaking his gloves to take care of Boulton and said to himself he couldn't let Rupper do his fighting for him.
