Better bout for Smashem this time than the last one with Thornburn. They stay on their skates and even land a few. One would expect Boris to get the advantage on size but Smashem is not easy to hit and can surprise you with the counters. Boris seems to control more and is more active but has a hard time landing. Looks like a draw from the outset. If not, Boris may have landed cleaner.

Boris the giant got off a few compared to nothing by Asham , who seemed to be outreached by a foot or so. Edge- Valabik

Gotta love Asham giving the giant a go. Slight advantage to Valabik, but nothing damaging. I'll go DRAW for now cause this was a pretty exciting fight matchup.

draw. But Asham fighting guy much biiger. We need to divide these fightersinto real weight classes. Super heavies (say over 230lbs) BGL, Boo, Ivanis , chara, Belak etc: Heavies (215 lbs +) Orr, cote, Boulton etc. Just using examples not sure of actually weights.

Then crown a champ in each weight class??

Valabik was too strong - in control throughout, going to the body, nicely.
Asham lasted, but didn't really want it to go on.

Big size disadvantage, Asham does well against a much bigger man. I give it a draw but I was going to give it to Valabik but I'm not sure those two punch's he threw with about 10 sec's left actually connected. If they did, win Boris. Mcb789, since when does not being a biased, blind, homer make me not a Flyers fan? True fans admit their teams strengths AND weaknesses. A lesson you should learn. Also, follow my posts more closely to get your facts straight before you accuse me.

Looks like the big Slovakian could land the right at will but was content to lollygag and massage Asham's shoulder.

Asham clearly did not win this fight and Valabik landed enough to win.
