They have a nice square off at center ice and Peat and Cairns start to trade 'em. Peat lands some nice lefts and it looked as though Cairns might go down, but he takes those shots and returns some moster rights towards while getting Peat's sweater over his head as Cairns punches him to the ice.

Peat had the edge then got cocky, Cairns then clubbed him down.

I don't know why Peat was smiling, he got his @$$ handed to him by Cairns.

It's a solid bout!
Cairns early, Peat middle but Cairns tok over in the end as he TKO'ed Peat first jerseying him.

Jeez, talk about homer announcers.

Peat got some good shots in, but Cairns just drilled him to the ice.

TKO win -- Cairns

This one starts out away from the net after a whistle blows the action dead. They square off for a few seconds, then Cairns is able to reach out with his long arm and get a good lock out with the left. Cairns throws 9 rights in a row. The first one catches Peat flush on the jaw. The next 6 all land, but to the side of the head and to the back of the head; the last 2 land a bit better for Cairns, to the jaw of Peat - until Peat opens up himself. Peat opens up with the left hand, landing anything and everything to Cairns who is returning fire with the right hand. Great toe to toe action! Peat gets off 8 good lefts until one catches Cairns and forces him to reload and seperate out, using his reach to hold away Peat who holds back until he gets closer. Once they seperate out, Peat lands another left to the top of the ducked over Cairns, who responds with 5 unanswered rights, the first one landing, the next two missing short and the last two landing as well. Peat returns fire finally with two lefts, the first one lands to the jaw with the second catching the back of Eric's head. Cairns then is able to pull the jersey up, and bury Peats head in the shoulder area of the sweater, then feeds him 3 HARD rights - the first one a looping hook to the back of the head, then a nasty uppercut that lands on the money and final one a huge straight to the back of the head that puts Peat down and ends the fight.

Awesome fight. Gave Cairns the TKO W for ending the fight with that nasty 3 punch "combo" at the end and the final punch clearly sending Peat to the ice, and ending the fight.

Cairns was buckled a bit but came back strong to finish Peat off. I dislike both players but have to hand it to Cairns

Peat surprised me with his fight skills. He can really trade them. Cairns came out on the short end in this one(no pun intended). I hope his health concerns are over so he can come back strong in 07-08
