Ouch, Stortini basically broke his leg on the way down.

ouch. if that leg didn't break i'll be surprised. and this is why takedowns shouldn't be a part of a hockey fight. it ain't the ufc and stortini got a double whammy, leg bendin funny and a good ol head banger on the ice. ouch and double ouch.

no matter whether you like Zack or not hate to see any player get injured like that. A career can be ended with an injury like this. Could have been concussion as well as leg.

The one thing I forgot to mention is at least Zack will drop em with anyone, no questions asked. Even though he usually does not do well in most scraps, he will always have a go. Unlike that " Cam Neely" clone they have in Boston (my coach says I can't fight you). Cam Neely was a warrior, unlike the "clone". See ya next year Zack and get well. That was an ugly landing.

Was at the game...originally thought Stortini was hurt due to hitting his head on the ice, then they showed the replay and the whole crowd grimaced.
Draw.

On another note: huge hit on Setoguchi by Stortini

This announcer is the dumbest **** I have ever heard announce a game. If Ispeculated at my job as much as he did in this vid, I would be unemployed and people would be dead. Announcers should shut the **** up, not speculate on injuries and do the job that obviously this guy sucks at.
On another note, I hope Zack heals well and gets back on the ice soon.

I'm no fan of Stortini or the oilers but I never want to see someone get hurt like that. Just when he was getting away from the hugging and starting to actually throw punches in his fights.
Posted by Clowes ABeast29 on Jan 10, 2009 at 4:42 PM agree disagree
Staubitz wanted to actually fight. Stortini just wanted to hug. Stortini if you opened up in this fight you would have been playing next game. I mean i have no clue why he didnt, he has a definate reach advantage. I guess its a draw or edge to staubitz for the take down.

** Hope Zack is alright. As much as i dont like him as a fighter, that doesnt mean i wish him harm as a person.

It wasn't that good of a fight, but that's not surprising with Stortini.

stortini needs to find another job

Hate to see the hugging from both guys, but hate seeing a guy get hurt even more. Could be a serious knee injury, hang in there Storts.

HockeystarIowa ,
Obviously you dont know crap about announcing. Drew is one of the best announcers out there. Other than the game itself, he keeps it very intertaining. He has alot of insight of the game. So if you dont like, then push mute and shut your mouth!!! Hope for the best for Stortini.
