Nov 08, 2003 Minnesota Wild Brad Brown

Comments: They squareoff again. Brown gets them tied up, then they start to throw, both landing punches. Brown hits May and puts him to a knee, but May comes back and switches hands and hits him with a few, knocking Brown's helmet off. They both start throwing again until they grapple, tire out, and the linesmen come in.

A hard punching.
May landed couple more though but wasn't enough for the EDGE.
A quite solid draw in my eyes.

They drop'em right inside the blue line and square off. Brown gets the early grab and start to trade rights. Brown's 1st lands on the jaw, May's 1st misses short - Browns 2nd misses over the top, May's 2nd lands on the jaw - they both land the 3rd right, with Brown's buckling May and sending him to his knees. May gets back up though and continues the assault with the right hand, as he throws 3 rights; with Brownie throwing a right hand that misses in the midst of him getting up. May changes hands beautifully and throws 3 lefts, the first missing short, the 2nd lands nicely and sends Brownie's lid flying, the 3rd lands in the shoulder area. Brown, in the midst of May's left flurry, is throwing his own flurry with the right. 6 rights fly at May, the first 3 land - to the face, forehead and side of the head; the last 3 land to the back of the melon. They stat to hug a bit, throwing the occasional rabbit punch to the back of the head of the other. Then they get to a locked out position once they seperate a bit and Brown attempts 2 rights immediately, both get stopped mid punch by May's locked out left. May then changes hands mid stream (incredibly) and lands two nice lefts, which Brownie follows up with a right of his own that May slips. May then throws the final flurry of the fight, 4 lefts - the first 3 land pretty well to the side of the head and face area, with the last one a looping hook that lands on the back. They tie each other up and the linesman move in.

Awesome fight. Great job of changing hands by Brad May - who is one of the best ever at doing so - and being able to keep going after getting fed a right hand early that buckled him.
