Marc Staal vs Alexander Semin

best fight ever.

Semin is not a fighter, but I think he snapped on this one when Staal went after him after a shot that took him too close to Valiquette. Before Christmas, Semin had come back from missing 12 games to a back injury and had been in for just one or two when David Backes cross-checked him in the back, sending him to the dressing room and wasn't called for it. He missed another six games and was very, very unhappy about it. Last night was his first game back, and Staal goes after him. I think he just said "enough is enough, I am tired of you people" and went hammer and tongs after the guy.

He needs to tie down his jersey next time, and someone needs to teach him to fight, but I'm glad to see him be willing to stand up for himself. This was hilariously funny, though.

Perhaps a sister site should be started called "hokeybitchslaps.com", because that's where this belongs.

I'ma say thats a draw considering Semin slapped him a few times, but it was the worst fight in hockey history.

@bluesrule08, Semin was laughing at Crosby for his points, not his fighting. He said Crosby makes plays but hes not that special, considering many of his points are for second assists. Also, Crosby CANNOT fight. Have you seen him? First time, he jumps a guy and punches him in the nuts while the guy is being held down by Crosbys teammate. Second, he jumps the guy and pulls the jersey without having the courtesy to even NOTIFY him that they were gonna fight. He knew he couldn't win so he cheapshots him and jumps him first.

Embarassing for Caps fans.. was in 10th row and watched several hide thier faces. What a Girl! Game Misconduct for fighting like a Wuss!

So let me get this straight.... Staal turtles to a girly man throwing a tantrum and he's somehow the winner? Staal should be more embarassed than Semin.... at least Semin slapped someone. Plus, the fact that Stall even went after the delicate little flower says more about him than it does about Semin and his wind-making flailings.
On to the Crosby fight... I now hate him 100% of the time, not just usually. He jumps a guy on a faceoff and is magically answering the bell? That was the biggest b1tch move I've seen in a long time and he needs to get pounded later for it... if he'll dare fight someone who knows it's coming. He's a turd...

That's probably the funniest hockey fight I've seen. I can't imagine the abuse he is taking from teammates.

Semin slaps Staal silly. As lame as Semin was with his pink jammies, necklace bling and girly slaps, it was Staal who was cowering on the ground. Pathetic.
