Scott Mellanby was a heckuva fighter and a solid team leader. On that Flyers team he was somewhat in the background as a fighter behind Dave Brown, Craig Berube and Rick Tocchet. But he was solid in the fists department.

Wow, 1987, it brings back such good memories of hockey. 5 fights in this game, probably 200 penalty minutes, who knows what the score was, probably 7-5, when hockey was real, not the watered down bullshyt we have today.

Oh, uh....win Mellanby....by KO. Great fight and kind of close until that jack hammer right hand!

Mellanby was the man... Loved the Flyers of 87-88... Knock out. Mellanby would kick ass in today's NHL. He would school all these hug fest posers.

I was watching this game on TV. Later, during the broadcast, one of the announcers said, "Jackson wound up face down on the icy canvas".

Whoa Nelly! Damn fine action in this one.

Hope this was KO of the week back in '87. Jackson was laying some pipe when he got knocked the **ck out!

Ya can't ask for much more in a fight, great heads up action, bombs landing, big KO, gave this one a 10.
