Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Jan 12, 1998 Toronto Maple Leafs Kris King
1pd 00:41 New York Rangers P.J. Stock
Stock and King collide at the blueline and decide to drop the gloves. They tie up and Stock throws an early uppercut followed by a left. King answers back with a couple of lefts mixed in with a few rights from Stock. Stock continues to throw rights, one landing and stunning King. Stock switches hands and goes with the left while King spins around and throws a long left. King switches position and throws three long rights that hit the back of Stock's head. The two exchange lefts just before wrestling around, trying to get an arm loose. The two each throw one more right a piece before the linesmen are able to get in there and end the fight.

Stock wins by decision. P.J. always fought like a big guy.

mostly rabbit punches from stock, missed haymakers from king, hence a draw, nevertheless a spirited scrap.

Stock had a quick jackhammer. I give him the decision.

i give this one to stock because he seemed to be more in control of the fight. however it didnt seem like his punches did that much damage as king was able to stay in the scrap and land some haymakers later on in the bout. that one looked like a lot of fun.

KRIS KING all the way! How can you even compare a veteran like King to a stumpy weight lifter with skates on. PJ did Ok like he always did, but King gave him a lesson.
