Brendan Witt vs Milan Lucic

Witt stands up to Lucic after Lucic gave a really questionable hit from behind to Jackman in the first period. At this point the game became a laugher for the Bruins.

They were at the end of the shift. Its hard to fight when your lungs are bleeding. Witt used to have really wild fights. He hasn't had many of those of late.

Not Lucic's best fight, but another win. Love this kid. Wish he wasn't as good a player as he is, or he may be a very good heavyweight. He, unlike the horrible trend these days with fighters(ie Laraque, etc...) likes to stand there and actually trade punches. Imagine that, a fighter that doesn't mind getting punched in the face. That's how it was in the late 80's and early 90's with the best: Kocur, Probert, Domi, Miller, Byers, Brown, Kordic etc... I do hope he continues to mix in a fight every now and then, as well as scoring goals. Lucic need to keeo doing that to get his space, but not with every goon that challenges him. He has to be a little selective!

the press and "BGL" made a big deal out of komisairek gettin hurt,he was stupid enough 2 put himself on the wrong end of it and paid!, it happens! its happened before, and always will happen, laraque needed 2 stick 2 playin hockey that night or just try and get thornton 2 go, but this here fight was a draw with witt

What horrible camera work!

All the Lucic homers should refer to the Erskine fight last year. A mid level fighter forced him in to wearing a shield and not fighting for the rest of the season. That includes you Jack Edwards! or whatever the Bruins announcer's name is.

There wasn't a punch thrown of any significant value. It was at best a draw. You can place no value opn the scoring system since it is dominated mostly by homers.

Ol lucic still won't fight the real tuff guys. i wonder what fritz thinks of this? not that it matters cause lucic would be too scared of him anyways.

Lucic and Witt went pretty evenly until the takedown. A lot of tugging and staring but Lucic gets the win.

Lucic wins another. As for all you "tough guys" complaining that Lucic doesnt fight the goons of the league, most of the fights he's involved in are started by the opposition. He actually can play the game unlike most of the designated fighters on most teams that basically take up space on the bench. Those that are stupid enough to pick a fight with him usually lose. Again, he isnt out there to fight, he actually contributes significantly to the teams performance so why dont all you whiny bitches just give it up regarding who Lucic will or will not fight.

btw- most of us Bruins fans cant stand Jack Edwards and have no idea how Andy Brickley can put up with him, game after game.

Lucic..gets the win--no doubt....Why why why in the world does this Islanders Coach keep Fritz out of the line-up? This is why you have a fritz in the lineup.What is this coach thinking? MINGA-----------Islanders have a small team as it is and at best is perhaps an above average AHL team and every team has been taking advantage of their small size and young team to the point of injuries of talented players........Can anyone explain this to me? I dont care if Fritz never hits the ice - he should be dressed and on the bench for every game......History shows that players play differently when a "Fritz" type player is on the bench. Lets face it, with the Islanders roster , its not like you have to scratch a star player out of the line-up to make room for Fritz...
