Earlier in the game Kovalchuk went out of his way to give a two hander (minus the stick) to White, this coming after Kovalchuk delivered a hard check into the boards.

If Atlanta played all their games with the same passion as they did last night, they'd be a much better team than they've been showing this season.

justafightfan, pull your head out of your ass and listen, the announcer quotes one of leaf staff "pound for pound he is the toughest guy on this team". This is the same as the Van Ryn hit? are you retarded? yeah he hit him from behind, compare the 2 hits and tell me they are no different. You must be a fan of fighting, cause you sure know jack **** about Hockey.

Wasn't much of a fight, but props for Kovalchuk for sticking up for himself, unlike almost every other skill player in the NHL, who would have just waited for a goon to take on white.

This looked like the average NBA fight.

all you plugs that are chirping white obviously didn't see Kovalchuck drop his stick and two-hand him in the face earlier in the game. I give props to white for going after him since Kovalchuck has a good 4 inches and 35 pounds on him.

To anyone making fun of White...what a great play by him. While they didn't win the game, both guys off for 5 minutes definitely means advantage Toronto.

With no good punches landed and the linesmen jumping in immediatlety I will have to call this "fight" a draw. Would have been interesting too see the outcome if the refs had let them go at it though.

btw. hey, Leafss, your comment about Whitey going for domination made me spill my coffee as I fell off my chair laughing. You owe me a new keyboard. Kovy isn't acting tough, he can actually take care of himself out there with "the western boys". But he is also simply too valuable for the the team to sit in the penaltybox.
Kovy= superskilled 50+ goalscorer
White= bag of pucks
