FOTY candidate for sure. I always thought Jody Shelley was a gamer throughout his career. I'm extremely impressed the way he handled Brashear. Although he didn't throw as many as Brash did, the punches he threw were extremely accurate and meaningful. There were two rights that Shelley threw at two separate occasions that caused Brashear to double back.

I've never been a Brashear fan, nor will I ever consider it, but he has refined his game throughout the years. For the so called "heavyweight champ", he is way too predictable. He always tries to man-handle his guy in the beginning, then he throws the quick left rabbit-punches. If the punch output doesn't overwhelm his opponent, then it's on to the hugging and the huge overhand punches that end up on the back of the helmet. Brash caught Shelley with a nice punch at the end, but Shelley lost his balance causing him to hit the ice.

Excellent fight for both guys. I'm pretty sure if there ever is a rematch in the future, it'll be just as exciting.

I'm giving the win to Brashear in a pretty good scrap. Both landed some good shots but Brash took it in the end.

Great fight. One of the best I've seen this year. Edge Brashear.

What damage? Jody bleeds when he crawls out of bed. Great fight. A lot of the usual DB punches to the back of the helmet-they look good but do little. There was that one super exchange where both landed good shots. It's probably a draw, but since I'm a homer I'll give the edge to Shelley.

TKO?? lol, lol Talk about a homer

I really can't see giving a win there. I think it was a pretty even fight. Brashear threw more, but I think he also missed more. I have to call it a draw. I would really like to see them go another round.

WOW! Great fight between great heavyweights. Brashear was busier, but Shelley landed some heavy hits that clearly stung Brashear. Draw.
