why isn't downey in the nhl still? the wings.need guys like that 2 back mccarty up, downeys in his mid 30's but scraps a lil better than maccarty. (not that maccarty can't still) but MAC threw in a goal against the pens tonight which was good 2 see he might be better off in that sort of type role and let downey enforce!!....cowan can't fight, he'll get rocked 90% of the time, he'd be wiser 2 play like a regular checking forward that doesn't scrap.

Here we go again; talking about Darren Mcarty,he hasnt won a fight in 3 years,he was once pretty good,but puts fear in nobody .The only intelligent thing u guys said is Detroit could use Aaron Downey!

Why isn't Downey in Detroit? Opponents are running the SC winning players, and D-Mac is still OK (he did well v Clarkson) but only one guy! How can getting Malts OUT of the lineup for Downey be a bad thing?
