Even in his prime, McCarty wasn't exactly Kocur. My Wings haven't had real toughness since Bob became a Black Hawk.

Looked like a draw. Damn I wish Babcock would put Downey in there. Mac was great 7 years ago. But he's just not the same fighter he once was. Aaron Downey is a great scrapper. Hope to see him out there soon.

sigh...........poor Mac. He just doesnt get it. better than his bout with May, but still only a fragile shell of what he used to be.

Brown was active but McCarty did well defensively, no winner.

i would bye mac a beer any time, hes an oldtime hockey player, but over time we get old and beat up,mac always chucked them,he was not a ducker like alot of todays fighters, brashear can fight till hes 60 with his huggy bear style same with peters, steroid goerge well he throws 2 and hauls you to the ice,i mean they are not scrappers in the sence mac was, letting it all hang out, fighting on andrenaline and fear, with a dose of anger..but the time has passed for him.

McCarty is coming off a groin injury that appears to be affecting his ability to plant himself and throw, it was noticable in his fight with Brad May and again tonight. When it fully heals he will back on his game.

Brown throws a lot of punches, but only connects with a few, I give it a draw.

I have a lot of respect for McCarty. He used to be a force, but his fighting days are over. I sure wish the Wings would bring up someone to take this load off of his shoulders.

The fight looked more crazy then it was, alot of swings and misses. Would have been a win in Browns Favor if half those punches he through landed. Brown definately through more punches but seeing that non really landed, and McCarty only got like one, I say draw.

Behn Wilson's right. the wings havent had a real tough guy since Probert left but Mcarty did well against hockey players but could nerver fight a real fighter. to his credit McCarty is a real hockey player and will be remembered as such.
