Good and CLEAN hit by Ruutu,i think that moreau had get punched if the fight had continued

Moreau was going after him for the elbow attempt on Hemsky. The second hit was fine, but a good captain like Moreau isn't going to allow a bum like Ruutu to try and KO Hemsky with an elbow. Win Moreau.

If Ruutu was expecting retaliation for the hit, he probably would have laid or Moreau. I'm sorry, that was ridiculous. Donkinbuck, re-watch the video. Ruutu doesn't line him up and run him from 3/4 of the way across the ice. He is in the nearest faceoff circle when he lines him up and pastes him into the glass. He saw the hit coming and then Ruutu get tagged for a CLEAN HIT. Not to the head, shoulder to the chest. Donkin..Buck up son. It was a clean hit and not deserving of retribution.

I was sitting to the right of where the hit occurred and let me say, Great - Clean hit by Ruutu! After the hit, Ruutu skated towards center ice where Moreau comes off the bench in front of Ruutu and gets laid out by Ruutu (Small hit, but Moreau is down on the ice). Moreau gets back up and the two drop the gloves. Three quick punches by Moreau and then the two "hug" each other and spin around once, thats when Ruutu falls to the ice and the fight is over...Nod to Moreau for the only one punching at all. Kudos to Moreau for sticking up for his man and also got to give Ruutu some props for the hit, the 'Canes need more of that. Though, it would not have happened if Staios (I believe it was Staios) would have stayed off his a** at the face off before the shift with the hit and fight occurred.

Not much of a fight just more of a beat down from Moreau although you cant tell from this vid .. Btw who voted Ruutu?????? He didn't throw one punch.

Well, you can't really tell from the footage for certain, but Moreau seems to have won this fight.

do you silly Americans watch what actually happened,did ya see Ruutu skate the entire 3/4 of the ice to line him up,it was a shoulder to the head he tried to hurt the Russian I guess when ya sign up for something but never played the game or really understand it ya will say anything,to me who has played hockey for over 20 years Ruttu deserved a severe beating for what he did,watch the game ,watch what lead up to the fight then make a rational comment jeesh!!

Anyone awarding either of these guys the win has ESP or x-ray eyes, because there is NO FIGHT on that video.

Regardless of whether or not it was clean, though, Moreau shows why he's the captain for the OIlers. Grebeshkov is slow to get up, so the gloves come off.

Camera work was awful, but Moreau landed a couple in a short fight he clearly won. Win Moreau.

Another example of a clean hit being delivered and someone taking offence. What is this,ringette? Moreau wins the so called fight but come on, holding someone accountable after a dirty hit is one thing but after a clean hit?
