The reason I don't like the instigator penalty is that they seldom use it when they should, and they do use it when they shouldn't. This would have been a case to call it. Mayer with the win.

The Staals don't know how to fight, I like them but I hope they never willingly drop the gloves. Marc didn't have much of a choice here. Win for Jamal.

Looked like a typical instigator and it's great that the refs aren't calling it much, instead they call tripping, interference, and hooking like it's going out of style. I just can't figure the NHL out.
