The Islanders need to bring back Chris Simon for one game to line up against Craig Rivet. Does Rivet have any guts to throw punches at a non-fighter like Sean Bergenheim?

Whoa, Deja Vu

Mair is just back from injury, and the Sabres are already down their #2 and #3 centers. Otherwise, I doubt that Rivet would have tried to step in.

Kudos to sean for taking one for his line mate. This is a classless move from a player who knows better in Rivet. I should give sean the "w" out of spite but...a "W" is still a "W" for Rivet .

those who want to say crap about Craig Rivet go look at all of the fights he has had in his career. seriously. he wins just about every single fight and dominates most of them. so go suck a dick your only pissed cuz bergenheim got his ass whipped. hes a b i t c h

siltmipa, no offense but only an idiot laughs at their own posts. With that being said, don't know what Rivet was up to at the onset of the fight but once him and Berg squared off it was over before it began. Domination TKO.

Say all you want about Mair's knee, but he sure didn't seem to want to stay off it once Rivet came in and got the upper hand for him.
Bergenheim lost but is now one of my favorite players for doing what he did.

Craig Rivet should have received a suspension for his actions. Bergenheim, who is not a fighter, was able to hold his own against a fighter in Rivet.

Craig Rivet with the obviouse win on a non fighter, HOWEVER Bergenheim came in throwing whats rivet sopose to do sit there and let the guy punch him no he stood up and gave the wanna be fighter a beat down, I am also real impressed on how he stuck up for Adam Mair. If i recall Mair and Rivet have scraped several times and now they are sticken up for one another. I love it.

Man everyone seems to forget that MAIR just came back from knee surgery. That is why Rivet tried to get there and take the fight from Mair. Man some people are stupid and need to read.

#Rivet is a bitch for jumping in here then going after a nonfighter. Only wish it was Rivet that got head slammed...that would have been pure comedy# said dropnem and he was TOTALLY right. What a joke that Rivet is. Look from you Tube the fight between Ruutu and Rivet. And ruutu is doing just fun, hah

Toe to toe my a$$. More like foot to a$$. Way to go Rivet. Sabres got a keeper. If rivet wanted to do some damage he could have pummelled Thompson too. Rivet's messed up some heavyweights over the years.

Hey if you cant stand the heat don't go in the kitchen Humper. Rivet has been a machine for the Sabres so far. I was impressed.

Bergenheim indicated that he wanted some of Rivet, and Rivet obliges. Rivet then proceeds to hammer away with the right and make the fight lopsided. You can cut that cake any way you want, each slice is a win for Rivet.

I like to see the Sabres sticking up for each other, but Rivet didn't need to be the 3rd man in , Mair can hold his own. Bergenheim did the right thing going after him, but took a beating. Gotta give this one to Rivet
