Koci's reign of Most Overrated Fighter in the NHL continues.

Godard will be top 5 this season one of the only top heavys in the east who is a true enforcer unlike laraque or belak or brashear or even peters if he is like last year

Damn good fight, and a helluva sign that it's hockey season again! Both players throw and land some quality puches... Slight edge to Godzilla... Wish the Islanders didn't let him get away....

as a flyer fan, it's going to be nice to see these two boys mix it up with cote. godard wins. koci is exciting. he just starts to throw them. he's like cote, he may not win all the time but you know you've been in a good fight

Wow, thats was a great fight from 2 of the best. I give an edge to Godard, I think he is one of the top 3 in the NHL, I just hope he gets to play and can find enough challenges in the East. Great to see Koci back he had some of the best fights last year. I was hoping the Hawks would keep him, but sense they didnt play him glad hes getting a chance elsewere

As a Pens fan, there is great reason to be excited about the arrival of Eric Godard. I was at this game and he is a real solid team player who knows his role. Unlike Big Georges, who stood up when it was convenient, Godard took a number when Gonchar got plastered, a cheap hit I might add, and paid him back big time. The Pens are better with Eric Godard on their side. By the way, are you kidding me about Godard not dominating that fight? Most of Koci's punches missed while almost all of Godard's punches landed, and judging by the blood on Koci's jersey they showed on the jumbotron at the game, I'd say they were pretty effective, huh?

Godard barely wins in this one too close to call.

Heavyweights who haven't fought each other for a while. Great way to kick off the new season. Godard landed just a few more of the heymakers and drew some red vino on tap from Koci, and the home crowd was giving Godard the adrenaline. Pittsburgh shouldn't miss much of a beat even with Laraque gone.
