Laraque by far. Cote punched BGLs forearms because he couldnt swing any higher due to getting as low as possible so he could to hide. Then he proceeded to wrestled BGL to the ground(ex. See Chara vs. BGL he does the same thing) because he didnt want to wake up in the hospital. Cote might fight a lot but so does Ken Shamrock but you never see him beating a heavyweight do you?

BTW, Look at all that wasted time he spent getting ready for a defeat.

I wonder what he is thinking as he is skating around like hes so focused.
"Ok ok when he grabs my sweater get as low and as to left as possible to show my team how brave I am"

After his helmet gets knocked about 10feet off his head
"Yikes!, time to grab!"

Decent showing by Cote considering how Laraque is so much stronger.

Those Flyers are such bullies, poor George got jumped by that cheap shot artist Cote.

Cote is probably the most improved fighter in the league this year (just ahead of Jarko Ruutu!), but he is still a notch below Laraque. He still leaves himself way too wide open. Laraque would have hurt him if he landed any of those big glancing bombs. The Domi spin cycle saved Cote here. And for everyone complaining that all Laraque did was knock Cote's helmet off.....what would have happened if his helmet had already been off?....they would still be searching for his head!

Both guys landed some decent shots. Cote's punches were more subtle, but seemed to land more directly. Draw.

What the hell are they showing Cote's warmup skate around for? Show the bombs again; this was a doozie. BGL knows exactly how to take Cote out. Spin around and out reach him like he does every body else, except Cote won't go down that easy or he'll jump right back up. Cote's best punches landed just as the camera on the replay freezes here, but it was one of the best noggin knockers BGL has gotten all year. The Raque still lands the best punch sending Riley's lid into the cheap seats. Had that landed flush on the face, they might have banned fighting in hockey after Cote's funeral. Then again, Cote has taken nasty shots all year and comes back for more. I'd love to give it to cote for making the fight exciting and making BGL throw'em, but, BGL threw 'em, and landed them in the latter half, so he takes it.

Tim13, I completely agree with you. Flyers get jobbed once again because the refs suck. As for the fight, i gave it a draw. Yea laraque landed a punch on cotes helmet and knocked it off, but cote landed just as much punches as laraque did. I was very impressed on how cote did.

Bigdog - At least our fighter is doing his job. Whats up with your fighters? Its ashame when your goal scorer is dropping the mits. And you say its a crap fight? So if its a crap fight, how can you declare someone a winner?. I love when you post comments, because they suck and they make no sense. Please reply back so i can see what other idiotic comment you come back with

I hope that this shuts up all the jagovs that say that all BGL does is hug. Cote at least has the balls to give him a good scrap. Philly losers since 75!

These two obviously talked before the puck dropped. Once it did, Cote appeared to change his mind. He should have. For all the punches he threw, only the weaker ones landed. Big Georges got 4 or 5 huge ones in. The one that sent Cote's helmet to the other end of the ice was gross. Without the lids, Cote is still laying there. Win for Big Georges, no sweat against one of the tougher guys in the league. Flyers still suck.

Oh boy, Georges Laraque. Nice fight for Georges. I miss him, I wish he was still a Oiler.

Winner = Georges Laraque

I found this fight very close...both guys took some wind-up & lettem' rip shots that didn't really land. Cote got in a nice left, but so did George (more like the helmet is in ER right now as we speak!). Both guys obviously have studied film of the other & have respect for ye ol' LEFT fist.

I'm sure this isn't the last we've seen of these two combatants!!!! Anyone want a rematch on Sunday's season closer????

DRAW!
