Stortini deserves respect for dropping the gloves against the most dangerous fighter in the league. He threw a few jabs and didn't try to hug him. I can't believe people are calling him a coward for covering up when he was down. He was wide open if he didn't. What did you want him to do - become the next Fedoruk? If he didn't drop them people would have called him a coward. He drops them and doesn't try to hug him and he still gets knocked. Unbelievable. The problem is that there are too many people on this site that have never played hockey or have never been in a hockey fight.

I'm not an Edmonton fan and I am not really a Stortini fan, but at least the guy shows up. Most top heavyweights won't even fight Boogaard. There are alot of UFA tough guys this summer and Edmonton should sign one and then maybe Stortini can focus on the middleweights.

You know, when you ball up your fist, and thrust it towards someones face, you are TRYING to hurt them. Not trying to be classy, not trying to look sophisticated, you are trying to do them bodily harm!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE, its a f*&%ing fight, not ballet or synchronized swimming!! You don't want a guy to hit you when you drop to a knee? Well, heres a little advice, DON"T GO DOWN!!! Stortini dropped to his knees in order to end this fight. I was there, I seen it right in front of me. He is a coward and should have been punished even more than he was. And if someone scares Boogaard so bad that he just falls to his knees because he is too much of a girl to keep fighting, by all means, keep on pounding away on him!! But, that will NEVER happen!!!

It takes two to tangle and this was a dance that once it started only one wanted it

stortini was hoping to hug boogey to death. i like the way boogey has been standing and waiting for his opponent to come to him lately. seems to be giving him the chance to use his reach to advantage. once the hug was eliminated stortini wanted no part of this. lucky for him it was just a decent left that caught him and not the bone crushing right.

props to stortini for giving it a go. i cant say from anything ive heard but i bet the writing is on the wall in edmonton. at least be a game fighter against the top western goons or we will find somebody else. why else would stortini even bother risking this fight. stortini seems like he can actually play some but not enough if he cant fight besides.

clear domination by boogaard.

and for the few love taps while stortini was trying to crawl under the ice......he is a mouthy punk that you know boogaard hates in a personal way. if boogey was as classless as some would make it seem he could have DESTROYED stortini in his turtle mode if he chose. be thankful boogey isnt the animal i wish he was.

Props to Stortini for stepping up. Boogy man shows no class by trowing punches on a down and out Zack. That **** pisses me off. When ur opponent is down the fight is OVER!!

if you want to fight, fight. but don't turn your back and try to run and complain whine about getting hit in the back of the head. and don't pick a fight, then drop to your knees and whine because you get hit while your down. if you're just a loud mouth *****, just stay on the bench

Reminiscent of last year when Godard, without even hitting opponent while on knees, KO'd Boogaard...at least Stortini(IQ20) went to the right pentaly box.

Props to Stortini for not hugging this time...clear win Boogaard.

If anybody gets the chance, ask Stortini what it feels like to go out in front of thousands of people every night and get the crap beat out of you.

Zack some words of advice on when to take off your gloves:
1. after warm up
2. at the end of each period
3. at the end of the game
You need to rethink your career!!!!
