Wow, that Backes is a tough guy. He drops his gloves with a guy who never has fought, who he has by 20 pounds, and still, at best, slightly landed one punch. Those raps on the head are the best punching I've seen all year. Such a bad man! Maybe he'll join the ice capades next.

What was this retard ref thinking?

They emerge from a large scrum along the boards and for a while it looks as though they are just willing to hold on, then Hjalmarsson throws a punch and from then on it was all Backes. He twists around and lands about 4 or 5 straight on the back of Hjalmarsson's head until the official steps in. As far as I know neither of these guys are fighters. No real damage .
I am always amazed at some of the reviews, if you don't like the team or the fighter you can always come up with some ridiculous explanation
ah, he hit the other guy on the back of the head so that doesn't count
or he was picking on some body who can't fight. if they don't want to fight leave the gloves on, the object of a fight is to hit the other guy, regardless of your style, if you can duck and avoid being hit and then land one on the opponent then it still counts. If the only thing you can hit is the back of their head, do it.

I dont kno who the hell said Hjalmarsson, he was a turtle. Although the refs, didnt help or do any good by being pxssys and not let them fight

I don't understand the comment about Backes fighitng somebody who has never fought...Backes never fights either. Either way you look at it, he won the fight with the move to get around the back of Hjalmarsson. The rabbit punches were pretty lame though...haha. The refs did step in too early but Backes did get two good shots in before the rabbit punches.

Anybody who has anything to say about Backes and how he's a pu$$ or whatever for fighting Hjalmarsson needs to watch him on a consistant bases...he's one of the best/hardest and most consistant hitters in the league

what a bulls*it move the linesman makes when he comes in and the fight hadn't even gotten going, what a complete jacka$$

Scrum off the Blues goalie Tovie getting dumped and they square off, dumping their lids for the fight. Few tugs each and Backes gets a right off, then connects with a good overhand right. Hjalmarsson locks Backes up and Backes gets his right loose and rubs about 5 good rabbit noogies on the back of Hjalmarsson's head in rapid fire short stroke action.

Linesmen move in too early and seperate them.

The referee broke this one up to early.

Draw. The ref broke it up before H-jam could respond to the raps on the head. Looked like he was banging on a door or something.

Typical st louis crap. They sure get real tough after the whistle blows.
The blues just suck.

hitting to the back of the head ? hmmmmmm

I don't even know what to say. Part of me thinks that maybe Backes was afraid Niklas was too fragile to hit so he gives him some noogies and tells him to get out of here. The other part of me wonders why Backes even dropped the gloves with Niklas. I have always been a Blues fan, but somebody should tell Backes to leave the fighting to Cam and DJ if this is how he is going to fight. Only thing worse would be a slap fight.

Those like ROCKHAWK that vote for a guy because he is on a certain team is why this website rating system will never work.
They let their favorites get in the way and either support the loser of a fight or vote against the actual winner because they don't like the team that he play for. That's third grade crap!
I cannot understand how he could call someone a moron, use the "F" word with a bunch of hyphens and other symbols and still be allowed to be a member of this site. This was CLEARLY a one sided fight with Backes landing at least 8 punches and Hjalmarsson landing NONE.
To taunt and encourage the people to root for someone because they like Chicago is absolutely pitiful.
To those who say Backes shouldn't have fought Hjalmarsson:
He should not be on the ice then. He is a coward and pest. He can't survive and take up for himself. Where was Burish when all of this happened? Burish KNEW that Hjalmarsson deserved to get smacked around. I say NO ONE is untouchable in the NHL and if you are a instigator, you deserve to have the piss knocked out of you.
ROCKHAWK:
Oooh...tough guy. I don't live too far from Chicago but I don't smack kids around. Your just a weasle punk who actually has "heroes" on the Blackhawks. There are NO heroes in sports, only players and role models. Your showing your age with the language and people pretty much KNOW your just a kid.
