This was a mismatch all the way. Laperriere is a tough guy, but Vandermeer can swing it will guys that are much bigger than he is. Vandermeer just waited until he got into a position to throw and buckled Laperriere. TKO.

tko for Vandermeer. Laperriere was active early, but Vandy buckled him with the left uppercut. Laperriere did not slip, it was a legit knockdown.

Where was this when Jimmy was in Philly ? All the guy did was make stupid to's in his own end game after game. He gets the win with the big shot at the end that hurt Lappy (see Lappy thank him) but WTH was that agression in Philly ?

Habs44 you are a complete MORON! Did you watch this fight? He dropped him to his knees!!

Laperriere was way more active in the beginning as Vandermeer just waited for an opportunity to turn the table. Finally, after receiving several punches, Vandermeer got kind of free and caught Laperriere with a blow that, seems, made Lappy drop to the knees. If not a slip than a TKO for Vandermeer.

Lots of helmut shots in the beginning by Laperriere. Vandy was toying with him after that. Nice uppercut to the jaw by Vandy gives him the edge.

Winner. Vandermeer

Habs44 get a clue. May not have been a TKO but that last shot stung Lappy. When the linesman came in he said nice shot and Vandy asked him if he was OK. Lappy said yes and skated away checking his face for damage.

Vandermeer gets this one late but im a little put off with him fixing his lid . is he psychic or just realized that getting hit in the helmet is better than the face ? he obviously knew his left uppercut was going to stun Lappy . i wonder if he can tell if im going to win the lottery next week ?

Nice tight left uppercut. Knee buckler.

Ian landed more punches and it is not conclusive he was knocked sill by a left.

Vandy rolls up and smokes Lappy.

I'd rather see Jim Vandermeer on the blueline for the Flyers than -15 (in 11 games!) Jaroslav Modry.
