Vandy rolls up and smokes Lappy.

I'd rather see Jim Vandermeer on the blueline for the Flyers than -15 (in 11 games!) Jaroslav Modry.

This was a mismatch all the way. Laperriere is a tough guy, but Vandermeer can swing it will guys that are much bigger than he is. Vandermeer just waited until he got into a position to throw and buckled Laperriere. TKO.

Lappy did very well against tougher guy.
Lappy early but better late from Vandy.
Vandermeer with a NARROW Win in good fight.

Not a bad fight. Was going to vote Laperriere until the end when Vandermeer landed that last punch. Didn't look like a great shot to me. Weird. Guess it was a lot harder than it looked. Win Vandermeer.

nice uppercut by vandemeer. he played lazy then popped one in there. took the fight out of lappy in an instant.

tko for Vandermeer. Laperriere was active early, but Vandy buckled him with the left uppercut. Laperriere did not slip, it was a legit knockdown.

i gotta call it a draw, but i could be wrong. all punches landing were laperrieres until one good one by vandermeeer at the end.
agree vandemeer should have fought more when on flyers to make up for his defensive shortcomings. they could have used it.

Ner the end Vandy just lets Laperriere flail away and waits for his opening,then.....POP! He got his butt handed to him by Simon last night though.

Pretty good scrap Vandermeer gets the win at the end.

Vandy wins even though he let Lapuke land too many in the beginning. In the end Vandy swatted him like the bug Lapuke is.

Habs44 get a clue. May not have been a TKO but that last shot stung Lappy. When the linesman came in he said nice shot and Vandy asked him if he was OK. Lappy said yes and skated away checking his face for damage.

Close fight. Bit of a crap one actually. Although Vandermeer got in the early punches it seemed to me that Laperriere controlled the fight.
