Close fight since they bombed on each other equally at the beginning, but then Rypien gets a few in which make Carcillo turn away. Those, plus the end, give Rypien the win.

Good fight good punches landed by both got to give it to rypien for coming on strong at the end and getting the take down

Edge to Rypien in a good one.

It would have been a draw if not for that shot that Rypien landed causing Carcillo to duck away.

Basically, Rypien got the better of a spirited toe to toe battle where whoever was lucky enough to land the heaviest, accurate shot would win.

Rypien with the edge

Now "That's" what I'm talking about.... Too bad the huggers and hangers-on can't go to school here. If you're gonna drop 'em and go, THIS is how you do it boys. This should be mandatory viewing for ALL of the so-called "fighters" in the NHL.

Lot's of punches thrown, and I'm sure some of them found home. Kudos to both of these guys!!! Draw.

IS GRETZKY GOING TO WHINE ABOUT THIS GUY AS MUCH AS HE WHINED ABOUT FIGHTING WHEN HE HAD CEMENT HEAD ON HIS TEAM, THIS IS MORE THAN JUST A COACH STICKING UP FOR HIS PLAYER

looks like a lot of punches thrown, not sure how many landed. They should have taken their helmets off at the beginning...Rypien clearly was stronger at the end.

Good and entertaining bout. I voted draw but have no quarrel with a choice either way - this was close.
