Does this count as a fight?

You're looking at the one and only highlight of Philly's embarrassment in Pittsburgh. Maybe they've got injuries but aside from isolated highlights like Cote's big hit, the team is playing heartless hockey.

Camerawork could have been better so it's hard to tell for sure, but it looked like Cote dominated. Too bad the Flyers got demolished on the scoreboard. Pens have too much talent for the Flyers, along with several other teams (Devils, Rangers, Canadiens, etc). Next year for sure!

Cote won -- Malone really didn't even throw a punch -- but for those who are dismissing him are really missing the point. He's a power forward with decent hands who will drop the gloves when guys start taking runs at the Pens' best players. He's not a heavyweight fighter, but he'll fight and win about half his fights with guys in his class. But who are the other guys who are going to end up with 10 fights and 25+ goals these days?

Cote kinda jumped him but shame on Ryan for not having the gloves off when you come in on a fighter like that.

PLEASE REVIEW THE FIGHT - Who cares who won the game, this site is about hockeyfights. Whoever voted for Malone should be punished by being forced to live in Pittsburgh

The fight was one sided and i would expect anything else. the one thing i LOVED about this was malone stuck up for his team mate. yes it was a very clean hit, but you want to send a message that you cant just hit our guys without getting smacked for it. (even though Malone didnt smack him)
