are you penguins fans retarded? give credit where its due. cote lands a clean hit, then gets jumped by malone so he fights back. what is the problem? cote has fought BGL before, lost, and will fight him again. how is he "pathetic"? cote has proven he will take on anyone who will fight him.

did you guys read BGL's comments on the main page? even he sticks up for riley cote:

I took the opportunity to ask what he thought of Cote taking on Malone in a game that he couldn’t take part in. Big Georges said “He was just doing his job, he didn’t do anything bad. He finished his check, then got jumped, so [he] fought back. Nothing bad to say about that.”

I am a Pens fan and the 5.8% of you should be ashamed. this was the only thing the Flyers won on sunday.

Malone gets owned. A clean hit by Cote and Malone defends a teammate(and pays for it).

Cote will have a date with BGL when he gets back if these teams play again. I don't even have to watch the fight to know that BGL will pummel this lightweight.

malone is a good player who shouldn't be challenging a guy like Cote

note to Malone , if your going to stand up for a teammate you should probably get the gloves off a little earlier .

I think Cote was expecting Malone to drop his gloves and come after him for the big hit. Malone wasn't quite ready for this one and it showed as Cote started it quick and ended it quick. Wait till BGL is in the lineup tho when these guys play again April 2nd and 6th.

(LOL @ Tippy the turtle)

Malone tried to step up but he picked the wrong flyer. Let BGL handle Cote. Good to see Malone step up but you dont go after Cote without the expectation of dropping the gloves for a toe2toe bout. Malone got handled and he should have expected that. BGL even took Cote's side when he was interviewed afterwards. Nice to see so many stupid people on here that dont know **** about hockey or fighting. Seriously, how does malone garner any points at all in these standings. Cant wait for the 2 cote/bgl matchups we will see to end this year.

Clean hit by Cote... However when Malone goes in and shoves him Cote drops the gloves real quick and starts throwing punches before Malone even has a chance to drop his gloves. Kinda wussy but i'll give it to him for the clean hit and Malone should've known to either drop them before going in to confront Cote or atleast be ready for Cote to react quickly. I guess it was just a quick reaction thing by Cote to protect himself...who knows. Either way he wins.

Clear win for Cote, but give credit to Ryan Malone for stepping up to him. He wasn't going to beat Cote but he still stood up for his team.

Cote easy win. Some posters must not have watched the game. Cote's hit was clean, and Malone jumped him. Quote from Laraque:
I took the opportunity to ask what he thought of Cote taking on Malone in a game that he couldn’t take part in. Big Georges said “He was just doing his job, he didn’t do anything bad. He finished his check, then got jumped, so [he] fought back. Nothing bad to say about that.”

Also, for the poster who said typical Flyers when they lose. Did you watch the game earlier this year when the Flyers won 8-2? The last half of the 3rd period was the Pens taking runs at the Flyers.
