Mar 12, 2008 Calgary Flames Eric Godard
1pd 16:17 Washington Capitals John Erskine
Comments: Mike Green hits Dustin Boyd hard into the boards and Godard returns the favor by sending Green into the wall. Brooks Laich grabs Godard but quickly lets go once Erskine skates over. Godard and Erskine drop the gloves and tie each other up. They exchange a couple of early fights. Erskine throws two rights to the back of Godard's helmet before landing a pair of jersey-jabs. Erskine throws a short right followed by another that misses the target. They simultaneously throw rights and Godard connects with a shot that stuns Erskine. Godard then lands three unanswered rights before Erskine falls to the ice. Godard follows him down and the linesmen are there to break things up.

Erskine started well but then Godard showed why he is one of the top in the league. Godard win.

Erskine had a few good ones at the beginning but Godard gets some huge punches in at the end for the win.

Not bad, Godard did his job nicely.

Godard gets the win with the hammer to the left cheek towards the end. Good bout.

What a stylish enforcer Godard is. He drilled Erskine with three sweet rights then left the ice without any drama. That's how it ought to be done - regulate the problem then leave. Simple as that.

These douche bags that leave the ice trying to pump up the crowd only appeal to 12 year olds. I never saw Probert try to rally the crowd once, and he always set a great tone. Godard's not as great as Probert, but they're cut from the same cloth.

Good showing by godard. Got the love the guy who sticks up for his teammate. Erskine was feeling good after beating lucic, but i think he bit off a little more then he can chew here.

Take one to throw one. Good job by both. Win for Godard though.

Godard with a huge right. I give credit to Erskine for staying up, but he was hurting heading back to the bench and didn't get a shift in the third. I want to know who the hell the 5% are that voted that a draw or a win for Erskine? He got absolutely rocked and somehow he won the fight or it was a draw? Idiots.

Thats how you do it. All the Huggy Bears(Brashear Stortini) and turn and hides (Peters, McGrattan)should watch this. Two real tough guys. Obvious win Godard. We need more stand and throws. God forbid, but like Riley Miley Cote! Flyers suck, but win or lose Miley stands in there.
